Welcome back, .travelers. A month of jet-setting and catch-up made it hard to find time, but we're back with a new look and music.
Looking over this list's albums, my eye keeps getting drawn back to Carly Slay's "E-MO-TION: Side B," a handful of unused tracks from last year's best pop album. Each song still drips with unabashed 80's pop and pure sugar choruses. It's a divisive position, but I think "Store" is way legit.
In shades of Magic Man and Small Black, St. Lucia's "When the Night," is more ultra-cool hipster indie rock and I'll float in it all day please and thank you. Same for Atlas Genius's "When It Was Now."
You're not crazy; Bibio's "Ambivalence Avenue" has tons of music you've heard on Adult Swim bumps.
Been waiting a while for ZHU's "Generationwhy." Also be sure to check out "Deadroses" and Life of "Leisure EP."
